UC Irvine's water polo team, ranked ninth in the CWPA poll and eighth in the ACWPC poll, will play their final home game of the regular season against Cal State Fullerton on April 13th at the Anteater Aquatics Complex. Fullerton, with a 10-15 record and 1-3 in the Big West, aims for a win after a mixed performance last week. Shyanne Rainey leads Fullerton with 49 points, while Destiny Hernandez follows with 47 points. UC Irvine, coming off a split week with a loss to Hawai'i and a win against UC Davis, looks to leverage key players like Libby Alexander, who had a perfect shooting score against UC Davis, and goalie Faith Tedesco, who has been significant in defense. Irvine Valley Baseball Honors Don Sneddon's Legacy with a 6-3 Victory Over Fullerton

Irvine Valley's baseball team and head coach Kent Madole began their day by commemorating the legacy of Don Sneddon, the record-setting former head coach of Santa Ana College who recently passed away. They observed a moment of silence in his honor before their game. That day, Irvine Valley College (IVC) secured a 6-3 victory against Fullerton in the Orange Empire Conference, marking their third conference win of the season. The win was highlighted by strong performances from sophomore pitcher Caden Byers, who achieved his fifth win by allowing only two runs over six innings, and freshman Jackson Snitko, who hit a crucial three-run home run. Additional contributions came from Kade Murray, Shane Stafford, and Colin Rhee, the latter securing his fifth save. The team demonstrated solid defense and offense, limiting Fullerton to five hits while amassing 11 hits themselves. The Lasers are set to continue their series against Fullerton with upcoming games.

Both Berger and Northwood's Casey Euper, who allowed just one hit, struck out five and were supported by flawless defense. Northwood is tied for first place with Beckman, while University is fifth but still in the playoff race. The teams have two more games this week.

DeMarco Brothers Lead Woodbridge Baseball to Victory Over Irvine in Close Game

Anthony and Vincent DeMarco, brothers at Woodbridge High School, played together in a varsity baseball game that ended in a 2-1 victory over Irvine, with Anthony scoring the winning run and Vincent securing the win as a relief pitcher. This win positioned Woodbridge in third place in the Pacific Coast League, enhancing their standings as the season nears its end. Both brothers highlighted the importance of teamwork and expressed their joy at playing together, especially since Anthony, a senior who will play for Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, is in his last year at high school. Vincent, a sophomore with a now 6-2 record, overcame challenges in the game, cherishing the unique experience of playing with his brother, who he regards as his best friend and the best catcher in the league. The game also featured two other sets of brothers from Irvine, making it a special family-focused event in the league.
