Overdose deaths from synthetic opioids like fentanyl have tripled among teenagers in the last two years, yet most are unaware of the dangers of fake prescription pills containing fentanyl. These pills are readily available on social media and online platforms, posing a significant risk to teens. Parents should be vigilant about the sources of drugs and supplements their children may access, as even a tiny amount of fentanyl can be lethal. The Orange County District Attorney's Office is actively educating families about the risks of illicit fentanyl to prevent further tragedies. Guidelines for Encountering Baby Bunny Nests in Irvine
![]() | ![]() |
Mama Rabbit Behavior: Mama rabbits only visit their nest twice daily for short feedings, staying away to avoid attracting predators—this is normal.
If You Find a Nest:
Do Not Disturb: Avoid touching or moving the nest; it's illegal to relocate it.
Observe Only: Maintain distance; healthy, fluffy babies are a good sign. Bunnies begin exploring outside the nest at 3–4 weeks old.
In Case of Injury: Contact Animal Services at (949) 724-7092 for help.
Community Reminder: Respecting and protecting our local wildlife helps ensure their survival.
