Hoag Debuts Revolutionary Vectra WB360, the First 3D Imaging Machine on the West Coast

In March 2024, Hoag introduced a groundbreaking 3D imaging machine, the Vectra WB360, notable for being the first of its kind on the West Coast. Utilizing 92 cameras, this machine can generate a complete 3D avatar of a patient's skin surface in less than a second, enhancing the detection of early-stage skin cancers without the need for invasive biopsies. This advanced technology, which Dr. Steven Wang helped develop during his tenure at Sloan Kettering, costs $595 per session and is not covered by insurance. Targeted primarily at individuals with a significant history of skin cancer or numerous lesions, the Vectra WB360 represents a significant advancement in non-invasive cancer diagnostics, potentially reducing the need for painful and scarring biopsies. Hoag's acquisition of this $400,000 machine was funded by Hoag Innovators, a group of philanthropists and community leaders.
