Orange County Fire Authority and Irvine Police Animal Services successfully rescued a dog trapped on a fourth-floor balcony in Irvine after it got locked out with no one home. The firefighters used an aerial ladder to safely bring the dog down. The dog is now doing well and resting at home with its family.

UCI's Drew Pickett Shatters Personal Record, Dominates at Weekend's Track Competition

The men's track and field team wrapped up their participation in the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa and the Beach Invitational in Long Beach. Key performances included Drew Pickett setting a personal best of 14.01 in the 110m hurdles and winning the event, with other notable finishes from Jarel Sayles and Brandon Burns in their respective events. Field events also saw strong performances, such as Anthony Victa in the triple jump and Alan Vuong in the high jump. The team is next set to compete in the Mt. SAC Relays and the Chris Rinne Invitational.
