Snake Season in Irvine: Rattlesnakes and Their Non-Venomous Counterparts
This is the time of year when snakes, including the venomous rattlesnake, start appearing in Irvine. Non-venomous snakes like gopher snakes, kingsnakes, and coachwhips also inhabit the area and help control rodents. Kingsnakes and coachwhips can even eat rattlesnakes. If you encounter a rattlesnake, stay calm, take a photo, and call Animal Services while keeping a safe distance. Snakes generally strike only if threatened, so give them space.

Analysis Reveals 55% of Hot Car Fatalities Involve Children Under Two Years Old: Understanding the Accelerated Risk of Heatstroke
Children left in hot cars are at high risk of heatstroke and death, especially those under 2 years old. Children's bodies heat up 3-5 times faster than adults, making them vulnerable. Heatstroke risk starts at a core temperature of 104°F and can be fatal at 107°F. Even in mild weather, cars can quickly become dangerously hot. Heatstroke can happen anywhere, anytime, to any child. Remember: STOP. LOOK. LOCK.
Dehydration: Symptoms, Risks, and Affordable Treatment Options Available
Dehydration occurs when fluid loss exceeds intake, leading to symptoms like:
dry mouth, lips, and skin
dark yellow urine
fatigue, dizziness, confusion, headaches, and muscle cramps
It can deplete energy and cause serious health issues. Stay hydrated and visit or call urgent care centers in Irvine Woodbridge, Fountain Valley, or Costa Mesa.

It's Pollinator Week, and the Anna's Hummingbird is being celebrated! As the demand for pet blood donations has increased significantly, both cats and dogs can play a vital role in saving the lives of other animals by donating their blood.
