Irvine Valley College Retains Spot as a Top Workplace Among US Colleges for Second Year
Irvine Valley College (IVC) has been recognized as one of the best colleges to work for in the US for the second consecutive year by the Great Colleges to Work For® program. The recognition is based on a survey conducted across 194 colleges and universities, with the results published in The Chronicle of Higher Education and on GreatCollegesList.com. A total of 72 institutions were acknowledged, categorized based on their size, with IVC listed among the large universities having over 10,000 students.
IVC also secured a place on the Great Colleges Honor Roll for the second time, a prestigious status given to only 42 colleges annually for outstanding practices across various recognition categories. IVC excelled in all 10 categories evaluated, including job satisfaction, compensation, professional development, and diversity, among others.
The recognition is a result of a two-stage assessment comprising an institutional questionnaire on employment data and workplace policies, followed by a survey targeting faculty, administrators, and professional support staff. Employee feedback was the decisive factor for an institution's recognition. The Great Colleges to Work For® program, run by ModernThink, stands as one of the most reputable workplace recognition initiatives in the country, shedding light on the commendable workplace environments within the higher education sector.
