Phase one runs through October and includes temporary lane closures on Jamboree and Michelson. Full project completion is expected by 2027.

From Shrimp Tacos to Grilled Peaches: UC Irvine Shares Smart, Tasty Summer Meals

Summer is perfect for healthy, outdoor grilling! UC Irvine’s culinary team shares three flavorful, low-calorie recipes that work for any meal while keeping your kitchen cool.
Grilled shrimp tacos with avocado slaw are packed with heart-healthy fats, omega-3s, and essential nutrients.
Thai-style chicken burgers offer a lean protein punch with flavorful herbs and spices.
For a lighter option or dessert, grilled peaches with yogurt and granola provide gut-friendly prebiotics and immune-boosting vitamins A and C.
Grilling also reduces excess fats and the need for added oils, making it a smart and tasty summer cooking choice.

How to Keep Your Cat’s Coat Healthy: Grooming Tips and Best Practices

A cat’s coat and skin are important indicators of its overall health, and regular grooming plays a key role in maintaining both.
While long-haired breeds require daily brushing to prevent mats and tangles, short-haired cats also benefit from routine grooming to reduce shedding, hairballs, and dander.
Proper grooming tools and cat-specific shampoos should always be used—never human products like baby shampoo.
Bathing is not as necessary but may be helpful for cats with limited mobility, allergies, or medical conditions.
For severe mats or grooming difficulties, professional help is recommended.
Regular coat checks can also reveal early signs of health issues, so any changes in grooming behavior should prompt a veterinary visit.
