City Cracks Down on Illegal E-Motorcycles: Three Impounded at Local Park
E-motorcycles like Talaria and Sur-ron are not street legal. Three Talarias were impounded at Bill Barber Park. Damage to city property will be treated as vandalism. Irvine PD is addressing e-device concerns daily through education and enforcement.

Irvine Valley College Honors Top Scholar Athletes: Emily Freeman and Lennar Granzow Lead the Way
Irvine Valley College's scholar athletes of the year are Emily Freeman from women's basketball and Lennar Granzow from men's soccer. Both were standout two-year starters for their teams. Freeman, a guard, averaged 9.1 points per game with 69 three-pointers and made the second-team all-conference. Her team finished with a 21-8 record, ranked in the top 10 in Southern California, and competed in the So. Cal. Regional Playoffs. Granzow, a defensive star in soccer from Germany, has committed to UNC Asheville after earning accolades like All-American and leading his team to a 12-4-6 season and a playoff appearance. He also contributed five goals and one assist this season.
Irvine Valleyโs Luke Farrington Commits to Hawai'i Hilo for NCAA Division II Basketball
Luke Farrington, a standout sophomore guard from Irvine Valley College, has committed to NCAA Division II Hawai'i Hilo. Last season, he was instrumental in helping his team to a 17-12 record and a playoff appearance, earning second-team all-conference honors. Known for his three-point shooting, Farrington ranked second in the state, shooting nearly 50% from beyond the arc. He will join a Hawai'i Hilo team that posted a 19-12 record last season and reached the Pac West Conference semifinals.

Man on Probation for Identity Theft Arrested at Spectrum with Narcotics and Fake IDs
Recently at Spectrum, Irvine police apprehended Christopher Edward Broomse, a 47-year-old Los Angeles resident under the influence and on probation for identity theft. He was found in possession of narcotics and multiple fraudulent IDs. Broomse was arrested on fraud charges and for an outstanding felony warrant related to his previous offenses.
