Anesthesia Explained: Keeping Your Pet Calm, Comfortable, and Pain-Free

Anesthesia plays a vital role in veterinary care by ensuring pets can undergo procedures without pain, fear, or movement. Here's a quick breakdown of why it's important and how it's safely administered:
What it is: A controlled state of unconsciousness used to prevent pain and keep pets still during procedures.
Why it's used: For surgeries, dental cleanings, spays/neuters, biopsies, diagnostic imaging, radiation, foreign body removal, and ventilator use.
Who can administer it: Licensed veterinarians and credentialed veterinary technicians—some with specialized training in anesthesia and pain management.
Where it's used: Specialty care hospitals, primary care clinics, and animal shelters.
Why it matters: It helps ensure your pet receives the care they need safely and comfortably.

Matthew Sandoval scored twice and had two doubles, while Smith Spivey and Owen Featherston also contributed key hits. Reliever Adam Valencia escaped a bases-loaded jam and closed the game with four strikeouts for the save.
