Comprehensive Care for Sprains and Strains: Fast and Affordable Treatment in Orange County

FCCMG offers fast, affordable urgent care for muscle sprains and strains at three locations (Irvine, Costa Mesa, Fountain Valley), open every day including holidays. Sprains involve ligament tears, while strains involve tendon tears, often from heavy lifting, sports, or falls. Mild cases can be treated at home, but severe ones need medical attention. FCCMG provides in-house labs, wheelchair transport, online check-in, and accepts most insurance plans. Common causes include uneven surfaces, poor landing from jumps, and overextending joints. Symptoms treated include pain, swelling, bruising, and limited movement. Diagnosis may involve physical exams and X-rays, with treatments like rest, ice therapy, compression, elevation, pain relievers, splints, physical therapy, and, in severe cases, surgery. Reserve your spot online for reduced wait times.

Mysterious Night Predators: The Great Horned Owls Roaming Orange County

The Great Horned Owl is a large, powerful, nocturnal owl native to North and Central America, identifiable by its prominent ear tufts. It has 8 recognized subspecies in North America and a diverse range in South and Central America. With a wingspan of 50-60 inches and varying coloration, it adapts to nearly every terrain. This owl is an opportunistic feeder, preying on animals from insects to large birds and mammals, and has no natural predators. Breeding from December to July, they use various nesting sites. Although mostly sedentary, northern populations can migrate. They face high mortality rates, often due to human activity, but can live up to 28 years.
