Enjoy a Month of Music with Pacific Symphony’s June Performances

Pacific Symphony is bringing a mix of rock and classical music to Segerstrom Concert Hall this June, with performances celebrating the music of Journey and the works of composer Sergei Rachmaninoff. Music lovers can enjoy three special programs throughout the month.

Movies on the Lake Returns to Woodbridge with Free Family Movie Nights

Enjoy a free family movie night under the stars at Woodbridge’s Movies on the Lake series, held on the grass area near the North Lake Gazebo. The show begins at dusk, approximately 7:45–8:00 p.m. Join the fun and bring low-back beach chairs, blankets, and snacks.

Monaco Italian Kitchen Brings Authentic Italian Flavors to Orange County

Monaco Italian Kitchen, the newest restaurant from local restaurateur Tony Monaco, brings an authentic Italian dining experience inspired by his family roots and culinary research across Italy. The menu features house-made dishes and imported ingredients from Italy, including antipasti, handcrafted pastas, and Neapolitan-style pizzas made from scratch. Standout offerings include lamb Bolognese, spaghetti alle vongole, and specialty pizzas such as the Diavola, Bianca, and Prosciutto. With a focus on traditional flavors and quality ingredients, Monaco Italian Kitchen offers a thoughtful and authentic take on Italian cuisine.

Back to School Drive: Join the Community in Filling Backpacks for Marine Families

Irvine 2/11 Marine Adoption Committee is inviting the community to help local Marine families through its Back-to-School Drive, running June 1–29. The goal is to provide 35 elementary-aged children of 2/11 Marines with backpacks and essential school supplies before the new school year begins.

  • Supporters can donate through IMAC’s Amazon wish list, shop for supplies locally, or contribute funds through the organization’s website.

  • Donations can be mailed directly to IMAC or arranged for local delivery, helping ensure these young students start the school year prepared and confident.

Local Caregivers Invited to Free Monthly Support Group in Irvine

Caregivers of loved ones experiencing memory loss or cognitive impairment are invited to join a free Caregiver Support Group hosted by Irvine Adult Day Health Services. The group meets on the third Wednesday of each month from 3:00–4:15 p.m. at 20 Lake Road in Irvine and provides a confidential, supportive space to share experiences, connect with others, and focus on self-care. The next meeting is Wednesday, June 17.

Help Native Plants Thrive at Peters Canyon Restoration Event on June 13

Join the Second Saturday Restoration event at Peters Canyon Regional Park on Saturday, June 13, from 7:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m., and help improve native habitat by weeding, watering, and planting at local restoration sites. Participants should bring gardening gloves, water, snacks, sun protection, and clothes they don’t mind getting dirty, and be prepared for a moderate hike to the restoration area.

Studio Arts Festival Brings 100+ Southern California Artists to Irvine This Saturday

The Studio Arts Festival returns to Heritage Community Park on Saturday, June 6, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., transforming the park into a vibrant outdoor showcase of art and creativity. More than 100 Southern California artists will feature original handmade works, including ceramics, fiber art, paintings, printmaking, woodwork, and more, all available for purchase directly from the artists.

Happy Tails: 15 Irvine Shelter Pets Adopted During Memorial Day Week

The Irvine Animal Care Center celebrated a successful week from May 25–31, with 4 dogs (Boston, Celeste, Leo, and Vader) and 11 cats (Eris, Imani, Journey, Luna, Mercury, Mimi, Papi, Pluto, Root, Rusty, and Venus) finding new homes. During the same period, 2 dogs (Milo and Charlie) were transferred to rescue organizations, and 4 cats were reunited with their owners.

Residents interested in adopting a pet can visit the Irvine Animal Care Center website for adoption information and operating hours.

UC Irvine Women’s Soccer Adds Two Transfers Ahead of Upcoming Season

UC Irvine women’s soccer has added transfers Mimi Dominguez and Mimi Yamamoto as part of a growing recruiting class that now includes 16 newcomers. Dominguez brings scoring experience and a strong attacking presence, while Yamamoto adds versatility and midfield depth as the Anteaters continue strengthening their roster for the upcoming season.

Four IVC Tennis Players Earn All-American Honors After Championship Season

Four Irvine Valley College men's tennis players earned All-American honors after helping the Lasers win the state championship, Ojai Cup title, and finish with a 14-1 record. Freshman Philip Neuman won the state singles title over teammate Steven Anderson, while Nevin McCann and Bradley Yung captured the state doubles championship.

Irvine Police Arrest Suspect in Irvine Spectrum Vehicle Burglaries

Irvine Police arrested a 35-year-old Hemet man in connection with three vehicle burglaries that occurred at the Irvine Spectrum on May 20. After conducting surveillance and identifying the suspect, Spectrum officers made the arrest during a traffic stop last week. The suspect, Noah Adam Wise, was booked on charges including burglary, possession of burglary tools, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officers also recovered some of the stolen items and returned them to the victims.
