The $700M Success Story Born in Irvine: Anthony Katz and Hyperice
Anthony Katz, founder of Hyperice, turned a homemade ice pack into a $700 million company headquartered in Irvine’s Discovery Park. Known for its innovative athletic recovery products, Hyperice is endorsed by top athletes and sports leagues like the NBA and NFL. Katz's journey began after creating a custom ice pack to relieve his sore knees from playing basketball. His breakthrough came after Kobe Bryant tested and endorsed his product. Katz chose Irvine for his headquarters due to its strong business environment, dubbing it "Silicon Valley south." Today, Hyperice collaborates with Nike on cutting-edge athletic recovery gear used by Olympians.

Fighting Invasive Species: Protecting Irvine Ranch Wildlands
Invasive plants, animals, and insects present significant threats to Irvine Ranch wildlands, competing with native species and disrupting ecosystems. These efforts are essential for preserving the unique biodiversity of the urban wildlands and preventing further ecological damage. By involving the community, they aim to protect and restore these natural habitats. Learn more about their invasive plant removal efforts and how to contribute here.

In his debut as a running back, Harper rushed for 209 yards, scored a touchdown, and threw a 67-yard TD pass. The Timberwolves' defense, coached by JC Clarke, was solid, holding Irvine scoreless twice inside the 2-yard line.
