Grab Your Paintbrush and Try Painting Outdoors in Irvine

Plein air painting is all about creating art outdoors and capturing a scene as you see it in real time. Getting started is easy—find a spot with a view you enjoy, bring a few simple art supplies, take in your surroundings, and begin sketching the basic shapes. As the light and atmosphere change, you can adjust your painting along the way. It's a fun and relaxing way to slow down, enjoy nature, and express your creativity. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced artist, it's a rewarding activity worth trying. If you're inspired to give it a go, check out Arts in Irvine's classes and programs to learn new techniques and connect with fellow artists.
