Irish Band Danú Brings Traditional Celtic Music to Irvine on March 20

Irish traditional music band Danú will perform at the Irvine Barclay Theatre on March 20 as part of their U.S. tour.
Founding member Benny McCarthy shared that performing in the U.S. is special due to the deep Irish-American connection, and the band is excited to return to Southern California after a memorable Irvine concert in 2019.
Their show will feature lively Irish dance tunes, songs in both Irish and English, and engaging stories, creating an immersive experience that transports the audience to Ireland.
McCarthy describes Irish music as a reflection of its people and traditions, inviting everyone to embrace its joyous energy. He recommends “The Kilfenora Jig” as a must-hear Irish tune, promising a spirited rendition during their performance.

Protect Your Kidneys: Prevention, Signs, and Healthy Habits

Chronic kidney disease affects 35.5 million Americans, with many unaware they have it.
Prevention starts early, as risk factors like obesity can lead to kidney disease later in life.
The two main causes—diabetes and high blood pressure—are influenced by lifestyle choices. Kidneys do more than filter waste; they regulate blood pressure, balance fluids, and support bone health.
To maintain kidney function, manage blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol through a healthy diet, exercise, and avoiding smoking and excessive alcohol.
Staying hydrated (60-70 oz of water daily) is key, and urine color can signal kidney health issues. Persistent brown, pink, or red urine requires medical attention.
