Quick, Non-Invasive EKG Testing for Early Heart Issue Detection

EKG testing is a quick, non-invasive test that records the heart's electrical activity to help diagnose conditions like arrhythmias, heart attacks, and electrolyte imbalances.
It's recommended for those experiencing symptoms like chest pain or dizziness, individuals with pre-existing conditions, or as part of routine check-ups.
Family Care Centers Medical Group (FCCMG) offers expert EKG testing at its urgent care centers in Irvine, Fountain Valley, and Costa Mesa, with state-of-the-art labs, daily availability, and online reservations for convenience.

Stay Safe on the Trails: Wet Weather Safety Tips

Orange County has been getting some much-needed rain, which benefits the Irvine Ranch Natural Landmarks but also brings challenges. Some trails are temporarily closed to ensure safety and prevent long-term damage. Trails need time to dry out after rainfall, so visitors should respect closures to avoid dangerous conditions for themselves and first responders. IRC, along with OC Parks, the City of Irvine, and the City of Newport Beach, urges hikers to follow these wet weather tips:
Follow Trail Closure Signs: Trails are evaluated after rainfall, and closures are posted at park entrances and online. Check for updates before heading out.
Avoid Muddy Areas: Even after reopening, stay on dry parts of the trail to minimize damage. If some areas remain wet, consider an alternate route.
Time Activities Accordingly: Some trails may be suitable for hiking but not for biking or horseback riding, as tires and hooves can cause more damage.
Do Research Before Visiting: Stay informed on trail closures:
Irvine Open Space trails: letsgoutside.org
Newport Beach trails: Call the Mudline (949-718-1860) for updates.
Patience now helps protect these natural spaces for long-term enjoyment!

UCI broke open a scoreless game in the fourth with a three-run triple by Zach Fjelstad and went on to score in five of the final six innings.
