Turkey, Treats, and Trouble: Keep Your Pets Safe This Thanksgiving

As you prepare for a festive Thanksgiving, don’t forget about the safety and well-being of your furry friends. Here are a few essential tips to ensure your pets enjoy the holiday as much as you do:

  • Avoid Turkey Bones or Skin – These can be choking hazards or cause digestive issues.

  • No Onions, Garlic, or Chives – Even small amounts are toxic to pets.

  • Skip Rich Foods – Fatty dishes like stuffing, mashed potatoes, and gravy can upset their stomachs.

  • Say No to Sweets – Chocolate, raisins, and artificial sweeteners (like xylitol) are dangerous for pets.

  • Provide a Quiet Space – Create a cozy, calm spot for your pet to escape the holiday hustle.

Despite being a young squad primarily composed of juniors and sophomores, the team is aiming for league victory and has a rigorous schedule to prepare them, including the Valley Christian Tournament and prestigious events like the Jerry Tarkanian Classic and The Classic at Damien.
