Canopy at Great Park to Feature Mix of Dining, Retail, and Grocery Options

The Canopy at Great Park in Irvine, a new 12-acre retail and dining destination, will feature a mix of established and emerging food and lifestyle brands. Confirmed tenants include Chicha San Chen, Philz Coffee, Osen Urban Table, JJANG Yakiniku, Social House, The Taco Stand, Shootz, and In-N-Out, along with retail shops like Rylee + Cru, Free People Movement, and Solestage. The center will be anchored by T&T Supermarket, a large Asian grocery chain, and is designed to serve as a community-focused space for shopping, dining, and gathering.
Irvine Valley College Expands Teacher Preparation Efforts Amid Statewide Shortage

Irvine Valley College’s Teacher Preparation Pathway is helping students like Rebecca Pineda pursue careers in education through guidance and practical experience. After enrolling at IVC in 2024, Pineda became involved in the Aspiring Educators Club and now serves as its president while also contributing to broader education initiatives. As California works to address a teacher shortage, IVC is expanding its program with hands-on learning opportunities, planned paid apprenticeships, and partnerships that support the transition from community college to credentialing programs. Additional funding and resources, including lab classrooms and professional development opportunities, are further supporting students as they prepare for careers in teaching.
Candlelit Concert: Notos Quartet Presents Walton, Mozart, and Schumann Works

Experience an intimate candlelit concert with the Notos Quartett on March 26 at 7:00 PM in the Samueli Theater. Known for their expressive and dynamic performances, the ensemble will present a rich program featuring Walton’s Piano Quartet in D minor, Mozart’s Piano Quartet in G minor, and Schumann’s Piano Quartet in E-flat Major, Op. 47.

Irvine City Hall Hosts High School Art Exhibition April 6–May 15

The City of Irvine’s annual High School Art Exhibition will be on display at Irvine City Hall from April 6 to May 15, showcasing a wide range of student artwork including digital media, painting, photography, sculpture, and more. A special opening reception will be held on April 23 from 4:30–6:30 p.m. to celebrate these emerging artists.

Volunteers offer basic care and support while the center provides all training, supplies, and medical care.
