Travel the World One Scoop at a Time with Wanderlust Creamery in Irvine

Wanderlust Creamery co-founder Adrienne Borlongan turned her background in food science into an ice cream business inspired by desserts and ingredients from around the world. Since launching the company in 2015, Wanderlust Creamery has expanded to nine California locations, including its first Orange County shop in Irvine’s Walnut Village Center. Known for flavors like Sticky Rice + Mango, Ube Malted Crunch, and Japanese Neapolitan, the creamery combines cultural storytelling with creative ice cream making. Borlongan says Irvine was a natural choice for the brand’s Orange County debut because of its diverse community and the strong support it had already received from local fans.

UCI Health Dermatologist Shares Insights on Gray Hair and Healthy Lifestyle Habits

Most hair graying is largely influenced by genetics, with family history often providing the best indication of when it may begin. According to UCI Health dermatologist Jessica Shiu, while there is no proven way to prevent gray hair, maintaining a healthy lifestyle may help support overall hair health. The strongest evidence points to avoiding smoking and managing stress, while getting adequate sleep and eating a balanced, antioxidant-rich diet may also help protect the cells responsible for hair pigment. Researchers have found that graying typically begins in the mid-30s for White populations, late 30s for Asian populations, and mid-40s for Black populations.

Dogs Eating Grass: Causes, Risks, and Tips for Owners

Eating grass is a common behavior in dogs and is usually nothing to worry about. Dogs may do it for reasons like digestion, boredom, stress, or natural instincts. Just keep an eye on the behavior and check with your veterinarian if your dog seems unwell or has ongoing stomach issues.

  • Most dogs that eat grass are not sick beforehand and do not vomit afterward.

  • Grass may provide fiber that supports healthy digestion and bowel movements.

  • Some dogs eat grass due to boredom, anxiety, loneliness, or to get their owner's attention.

  • The behavior may be linked to natural scavenging instincts passed down from wild ancestors.

  • Toys, puzzle feeders, exercise, and social interaction can help reduce grass eating related to boredom or stress.

  • Grass may contain pesticides, herbicides, or parasites that can be harmful to dogs.

  • Training with treats, praise, or simple commands can help redirect dogs from eating grass.

  • Frequent stomach discomfort or other signs of illness should be evaluated by a veterinarian.
