Irvine Welcomes U.S. Men’s National Team Ahead of 2026 FIFA World Cup

Irvine welcomed the U.S. Men’s National Team to Great Park on June 8 for a special community training session ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The event, which was the only public opportunity to watch the team practice at Great Park, featured remarks from City and U.S. Soccer representatives and was open to ticket holders selected through a lottery. Great Park was chosen as the USMNT’s official Team Base Camp because of its world-class facilities and proximity to SoFi Stadium, where the team opens World Cup play against Paraguay on June 12.
