Built to Last: Irvine’s Master Planned Foundation Keeps the City Thriving
Irvine's infrastructure was master planned before the first home was built, setting it apart from many cities with crumbling systems. The city's well-designed road network reduces neighborhood traffic and crime, while walkable villages allow easy access to schools, shops, parks, and nature trails. Irvine is also a leader in water recycling, with 85% of public and commercial landscaping irrigated by recycled water. Additionally, its balanced design and strong job and retail centers generate significant sales-tax revenue, ensuring long-term infrastructure maintenance.
Irvine Police Issue 33 Citations in High-Visibility Traffic Enforcement Near University High
Yesterday morning, the Irvine Police Traffic Bureau conducted High-Visibility Traffic Enforcement (HVE) on Culver Dr., near University High School. Officers issued 33 citations, with the most common violations being cell phone use and disobedience to the crossing guard.
